Reports to: Building Principal

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and implement annual Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students
• Schedule IEP meetings with team members
• Collect data for on-going progress monitoring
• Apply research based learning strategies and interventions to support student’s IEP and progress
• Manage a safe and effective learning environment
• Collaborate and consult with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student’s learning outcomes


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Have a strong knowledge base to deliver individualized instructional and educational services
• Have an understanding of the processes and procedures of providing Special Education services
• Ability to effectively analyze student needs and problem solve
• Ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with students, parents, teachers and administration
• Subject to a Background Check

Education and Experience
• Must hold a valid K-6 or K-12 special education license in the state of Nebraska
