POSITION TITLE: Foundation Development Associate
DEPARTMENT: Stewardship and Development
REPORTS TO: Foundation Development Officer
EFFECTIVE DATE: March 2020
POSITION STATUS: Non-Exempt, Part-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Foundation Development Associate provides operational and administrative support to the archdiocese’s Educational and Parish Foundation.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support all operational and administration processes for the Foundation including:
• Annual distribution of earnings to account holders
• Application process, selection process and distribution of tuition assistance and grants from the Foundation.
• Communicate with Foundation accountholders, donors and other stakeholders
• Staff support for Foundation, Foundation Board of Trustees and sub-committees

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Development and or advancement office experience preferred
• Ability to professionally represent the Archdiocese of Omaha
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Word (50 words per minute - correct English, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills; create mail merges)
• Excel (ability to create and maintain basic spreadsheets; pivot tables)
• Outlook (email, distribution lists, multiple calendars)
• Publisher (for basic desktop publishing, e.g., newsletters, etc.)
• Access (compile, analyze and create reports for Foundation staff)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED)
• Active, practicing Roman Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church, with a demonstrated
commitment to the mission of the Church and full assent to all magisterial teaching.
• Associate Degree or appropriate experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS: PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Routine office environment; ADA-accessible building.
• Requires sitting for the majority of work duration; involves typing and other repetitive movement.
