Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

Provide Post-Adoption Services to include; preparation of social and medical histories, adoption search and reunion, intermediary services to clients in closed and semi-open
adoptions.
Provide supervision, program oversight and program development responsive to community needs to:
Pregnancy and Parenting Support Services (including Mentoring Moms program) to women and men and to other family members as appropriate.
Senior Services Program. Work with Senior Services Coordinator for program development and outreach.
Family Resource Center services to women and men and to other family members as appropriate
Develops and maintains positive professional relationships with external entities (funding sources, committees) and other providers.
Establishes short and long term goals to support the agency's strategic plan, CQI and COA initiatives. Carries out the duties to achieve positive end results.
Develops, utilizes and maintains a knowledge base of laws, ethics, standards and regulations related to the scope of work.
Utilizes Catholic Charities policies and procedure to guide staff in their work, including policy and procedure revision. Responsible for hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; as well as problem resolution.
Manage and monitor expenses and funding sources, including fee generation and assistance with grant writing and execution
Perform other duties as assigned.
Reliable attendance is an expectation.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Skill in sound decision-making.
Skill in interpersonal relations and verbal and written communication
Ability to organize, plan, and complete complex projects.
Ability to resolve conflicts and competing needs.
Ability to show sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
Computer proficiency including MS word, excel, power point, outlook.
Knowledge of Catholic Charities’ mission, values, vision, and ethical standards.
Knowledge of the Catholic Charities Compliance Program requirements including – but not limited to – the Code of Ethics, the Compliance Policy, all organization-wide policies for compliance and compliance procedures affecting specific duties and responsibilities.
Required of All Positions:

Knowledge and support of Catholic Charities’ purpose, mission, vision, values, and ethical standards.
Knowledge and support of the Catholic Charities Compliance Program requirements including – but not limited to – the Code of Ethics, the Compliance Policy, and all relevant compliance procedures. Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to the service population’s cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.

Education and Experience
Work Experience:

Minimum of 2 years management/supervisory experience.
3-5 years of human service work experience.
Experience in budgeting process preferred.
Experience in collaboration and/or public speaking.
Education Level:

4-Year College Degree
Licensure, Certifications, and other Designations:

Valid Nebraska Driver’s License and Insurability.
CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within first 60 days of employment.
