Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Director of Mission and Operations is responsible for the overall administration, leadership, and day-to-day operations of the parish family. Working collaboratively with clergy, parish staff, volunteers, councils, and ministry leaders, the Director of Mission and Operations ensures that the parish family's mission of evangelization, worship, faith formation, stewardship, and service is effectively carried out. The Director of Mission and Operations provides strategic leadership, financial oversight, personnel management, and operational coordination while fostering a vibrant Catholic community rooted in the teachings of the Church.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible leadership or management experience.
• Experience in managing budgets, personnel, organizational operations, or facilities management.
• Background in and/or knowledge of the Catholic Church with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Experience with budgeting, financial oversight, and stewardship initiatives.
• Ability to supervise staff and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proficiency with office software, databases, and communication platforms.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
• Completion, or willingness to complete, the Omaha Archdiocese Mentorship Program strongly preferred.
• Safe Environment Certification from the Archdiocese of Omaha Required.
