Reports to: AdmininstratorPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities
The Omaha Catholic Schools seeks a SLP to develop and provide direct services as related to students’ IEP goal and objectives.Contracted position with state approved hourly rate of $65.00 an hour. Hours are flexible with 15-20 hours a week, with potential of working full time, if desired.
• Develop and implement annual Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for students
• Schedule IEP meetings with team members
• Collect data for on-going progress monitoring
• Apply research-based learning strategies and interventions to support student’s IEP and progress
• Manage a safe and effective learning environment
• Collaborate and consult with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student’s learning outcomes
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Subject of a Background Check
• Have a strong knowledge base to deliver individualized instructional and educational services
• Understand the processes and procedures of providing Special Education services
• Ability to effectively analyze student needs and problem solve
• Ability to establish and maintain positive rapport with students, parents, teachers and administration
Education and Experience
• Must hold a valid K-6 or K-12 special education license/SLP licensure in the state of Nebraska
• Listed as a preferred provider with NDE or ability to be listed as such
• Obtain an LLC as an independent contractor
