Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Pius X/St. Leo school is looking for teachers assistants in various grade levels. These assistants, assist and support the classroom teacher in providing a positive, engaging, and effective learning environment for all students. They work with individual students and small groups to reinforce classroom instruction, provide enrichment opportunities, support independent learning, and assist with remediation. They adapt instructional activities and materials, as directed by the classroom teacher, to help students meet established learning objectives and achieve academic success.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*Strong interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
*Ability to establish and maintain positive, respectful, and professional relationships with students and staff.
*Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding student information and school matters.
*Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
*Ability to adapt to changing classroom needs and demonstrate flexibility in a dynamic school environment.
*Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team.
*Supervise students in instructional and assessment activities during lunch and recess and in and out of the classroom.

Education and Experience
High School graduate (must be at least 19 years old)
Experience working with children
Must complete a background check and Archdiocese of Omaha Safe Environment training.
