Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate Musical activities and Lessons for grades K-8. Additionally, the teacher is responsible for two performances per year. One involves just Grades 1-5 and the second is either a play or musical involving Grades 6-8. This position also includes one supervisory duty each day in either the lunchroom or on the playground.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of music and music appreciation is the core knowledge for this position. This teacher should be able to pivot from one grade level to another, manage classroom behaviors and establish expectations for a wide range of abilities and ages.

Education and Experience
Musical background is preferred, willingness to share musical talents with others is a must. Nebraska teacher certification or the ability to acquire the appropriate certification is required.
