Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Guardian Angels Central Catholic School is seeking qualified applicants for a 5th Grade self-contained elementary classroom teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. The successful candidate will foster student growth and success in academic, social-emotional, and spiritual development while creating a positive, faith-filled learning environment.
The teacher will work collaboratively with students, parents, and staff to support the mission of the school and promote a culture of respect, faith, and academic excellence.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualifications:
Strong classroom management and organizational skills
Ability to manage the responsibilities of a self-contained classroom
Knowledge of and commitment to supporting the Catholic mission and values of the school (Catholic faith preferred)

Preferred Experience:
Experience with Science of Reading Instruction
Experience implementing small-group instruction and effective instructional routines

Professional Expectations:
Demonstrates a commitment to continuous professional growth and improvement
Maintains a positive and collaborative attitude with colleagues
Builds strong relationships with students, families, and staff
Supports colleagues both inside and outside the classroom
Represents the school and its mission positively within the greater community

Education and Experience
Required Qualifications:
Elementary Education K–6 certification in Nebraska
Safe Environment Certification through the Archdiocese of Omaha
