Reports to: Principal of Record and Pastor

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with Archdiocesan and Nebraska state standards
• Foster early literacy, writing, and foundational math skills
• Create a structured and nurturing classroom environment that supports social-emotional development
• Integrate Catholic teachings, prayer, and Gospel values into daily instruction
• Assess student progress and use data to guide instruction
• Communicate regularly and professionally with parents
• Collaborate with grade-level teachers, support staff, and administration
• Maintain a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
• Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Strong understanding of early childhood development and Kindergarten best practices
• Effective classroom management skills
• Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to Catholic education and faith formation
• Ability to integrate technology to enhance learning
• Professionalism, flexibility, and strong organizational skills

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (required)
• Valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or ability to obtain)
• Early childhood or primary-grade teaching experience preferred
• Practicing Catholic preferred
