Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Duchesne Preschool is looking for a Part-time Pre-K (ages 4-5) teacher. This classroom will be made up of morning-only PreK students.
Essential Responsibilities
• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with state early childhood guidelines
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and structured classroom environment that supports social-emotional learning and positive behavior
• Integrate Catholic faith, Sacred Heart values, prayer, and traditions into daily classroom activities
• Observe, assess, and document student progress; communicate growth and needs with families in a supportive and professional manner
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of Pre-K students
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to strengthen the early childhood program

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
• Valid teaching certification
• Understanding of child development and age-appropriate instructional practices
• Commitment to Catholic education and willingness to actively support the Catholic identity of the school
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
