Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Academic Intervention & Student Support

Provide targeted academic interventions based on student learning needs.
Collaborate with teachers to monitor progress and adjust intervention plans.
Maintain documentation of interventions and outcomes.

Leadership & Staff Support

Provide day-to-day leadership aligned with the school’s mission, vision, and Catholic identity.
Support teachers in fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Promote clear communication, professionalism, and teamwork among faculty and staff.
Review curriculum implementation, student achievement data, and school culture to support academic excellence and faith formation.
Assist with planning and implementation of school improvement initiatives.

Faith-Based Mission & Catholic Identity

Identify areas of concern and implement practical, faith-aligned solutions.
Support student discipline and conflict resolution through consistent, compassionate practices.
Promote Catholic values and support religious instruction, prayer, and liturgical life.
Participate in school and community events as appropriate.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong understanding of instructional best practices, Tier 1 instruction, and academic intervention strategies.
Knowledge of data-driven decision-making and progress monitoring.
Effective instructional coaching and mentoring skills.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
Organizational and time-management skills to balance leadership and intervention responsibilities.

Education and Experience
Possess a valid Nebraska Educational Teaching Certificate
3 years of classroom teaching experience preferred
