Department: OperationsReports to: Director of Operations
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Facilities Operations• Oversee inspection, maintenance, cleanliness, and functionality of buildings and grounds
• Maintain preventive maintenance schedules, asset records, and digital work orders
• Perform hands-on repairs; escalate complex work to licensed vendors
• Coordinate contractors, seasonal work, and improvement projects
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and applicable codes
Maintenance & Grounds
• Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting issues
• Conduct routine inspections and correct safety concerns
• Assist with landscaping, exterior upkeep, snow removal, and seasonal tasks
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and organized work areas
Operational Support & Stewardship
• Support room setups, events, and equipment/furniture moves
• Provide custodial assistance when needed
• Supervise custodial staff and coordinate priorities
• Assist with facilities budgeting, purchasing, and inventory control
• Serve as liaison for parish and school facility needs
• Provide on-call response for emergencies
Work Requirements
• Full-time position; evenings/weekends as needed
• On-call availability for urgent facility needs
• Ability to walk campus, climb ladders, and inspect facilities
• Lift up to 50 lbs; frequent standing, bending, and reaching
• Work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Practicing Catholic committed to the parish mission
• Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills
• Reliable, self-directed, and collaborative work style
• Basic computer proficiency and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems
• Ability to troubleshoot repairs and manage preventive maintenance programs
• Understanding of custodial standards, grounds care, and facility safety practices
• Vendor coordination and basic contract oversight ability
Education and Experience
• Technical or trade training preferred; certification a plus
• 3–5 years of facilities or maintenance experience
• Supervisory or project management experience preferred
• Valid driver’s license and safe operation of tools/equipment
