Mary Our Queen, a PreK-8, NE-accredited, Blue Ribbon School of Excellence, seeks a qualified 6th-grade teacher for the 2026-27 school year.MOQ is a faith-filled and dynamic school, dedicated to forming students of faith and academic excellence. The 6th-grade teacher is committed to academic excellence, nurturing the whole child, and supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. This position involves creating a positive, engaging classroom environment that fosters students’ spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth. The teacher collaborates closely with colleagues, families, and administration to support student learning and success.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesThe teacher will:
-Develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum/ Nebraska state standards
-Utilize a variety of assessments and use data in the classroom to develop lessons and instructional activities
-Effectively communicate with parents and school staff on student progress
-Work cooperatively and effectively collaborate with the grade-level team
-Employ a variety of teaching models to engage different learning styles and ability levels
-Integrate the Catholic faith into all subjects and the school environment
Education and Experience
-Valid NE Teacher Certificate
-Bachelor's of Science Degree - Elementary Education
-Safe Environment Trained
