Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Collaborate with fellow members of the Mission Team to invite parents of Religious Education, Sacramental Preparation, and Teen Faith students into their next steps• Facilitate and organize small groups for faith formation, such as Bible studies, video series, On The Journey content, etc.
• Organize parishioners’ participation in Called & Gifted by Catherine of Siena Institute
• Organize annual Advent speaker and Lenten Parish Mission
• Offer other parish-wide speakers as needed
• Provide a marriage enrichment opportunity annually
• Maintain office hours, including attendance at Mission Team meetings; monthly SLT and Coordinators’ meetings; monthly staff rosary and breakfast (as life and ministry permit); administration of programs; and one-on-one conversations with parishioners as they seek appropriate next steps in their personal journey
• Serve as the Parish Point-of-Contact and support to the following ministries:
○ Baptism Preparation
○ Order of Chrisitan Initiation of Adults (OCIA)
○ Divorce Support Group
○ Come & See
○ Moms of Faith
○ First-Thursday Eucharistic Adoration
○ Ad hoc programs, as they arise
Work Requirements: The Adult Formation Coordinator will be expected to work 25 hours per week, 12 months per year, including weekend and evening hours as needed.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Active and engaged in the Catholic Church with a desire to grow in personal spirituality and to help others do the same
• Knowledge of Catholic teachings, catechesis, spirituality, and worship
• Advanced organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines to see a project to completion
• Articulate and energetic communicator: oral and written
• Excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills, including the ability to invite, engage, and collaborate with volunteer leaders and the parish at-large
• Computer experience required with a knowledge of MS Office products
• Must maintain Safe Environment certification through the Archdiocese of Omaha throughout employment
