Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Leonard Catholic School has an opening for an elementary teacher. We are looking for a
candidate who is passionate about education and deeply committed to the mission of Catholic
education. The ideal educator is a collaborative professional eager to partner with their
colleagues, and families to nurture the academic, social, and spiritual growth of our students.
This position is for a multi grade level class.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Subject Expertise: Teachers must be knowledgeable about the subject being taught, ensuring accuracy and clarity in their instruction.
Lesson Planning: Creating structured and effective plans that align with learning objectives and build upon previous content learned.
Classroom Management: Establishing and maintaining order in the classroom to promote an environment conducive to learning.
Assessment: Regular, effective, and reliable evaluation of students' progression and understanding.
Communication: Effectively conveying ideas, building relationships, and creating a shared understanding with students, colleagues, parents, and stakeholders.
These skills are essential for creating a positive and engaging classroom environment that fosters student success and personal growth.

Teacher must thrive in the classroom and be able to manage multi grade level classroom. To teach each subject well while other students are busy with their class work.

Education and Experience
K-6, endorsement in elementary education is required. This endorsement covers a wide range of ages and subjects, focusing on kindergarten-aged children up through the junior high level.
