Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Pius X/St. Leo School is seeking a passionate, dedicated Elementary Teacher to join our faith-filled, diverse learning community for the 2026-27 school year. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, nurturing the whole child, and supporting the mission and values of Catholic education. This teacher is responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom environment that promotes spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth. Teachers work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and administration to support student success.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated, and developmentally appropriate instruction aligned with curriculum standards in the areas of English, literature, and social studies.
Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Integrate Catholic values and teachings into daily instruction and classroom culture
Assess student progress and communicate effectively with parents and guardians
Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and administration
Participate in school liturgies, events, and professional development
Support the mission and philosophy of the Catholic Church and the school

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education (required)
Valid teaching license or ability to obtain one
Experience teaching at the elementary level preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Commitment to Catholic education; practicing Catholic preferred
