Department: Parish StaffReports to: Director of Operations
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Stewardship & Development· Manage parish stewardship and development efforts in alignment with the pastoral vision and mission of St. Stephen the Martyr Parish.
· Advance parish stewardship initiatives, including stewardship renewal and promotion of Sunday and online giving.
· Manage planned giving opportunities and the parish memorial gift program.
· Manage donor cultivation and stewardship activities for parishioners, prospective donors, businesses, and other constituencies.
· Coordinate donor recognition and thank-you efforts to promote a culture of gratitude and engagement.
Fundraising & Appeals
· Coordinate parish fundraising and stewardship events, including planning, logistics, volunteer coordination, and follow-up.
· Support parish participation in the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal and other special appeals as needed.
· Provide offertory giving support and communication in collaboration with the parish business office.
· Support capital campaign activities in coordination with the Director of Operations and
Collaboration & Parish Support
· Work collaboratively with the Director of Operations, Pastor, parish staff, volunteers, and external partners to carry out development activities.
· Represent the parish at appropriate Archdiocesan meetings, trainings, or events as requested.
· Perform other duties as assigned in support of parish operations and mission.

· Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to foster a culture of hospitality, professionalism, and Christ-centered service.
· Experience working collaboratively with staff, volunteers, parishioners, and external partners.
· Attention to detail and discipline in maintaining accurate donor and parishioner records.
· Proficiency with standard office software and comfort working with donor or constituent databases.

Hours of Work:
· The Stewardship and Development Manager will be expected to work the normal business hours of the Parish Office and additional hours that may be required for events and other activities.
Education and Experience
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in nonprofit, parish, or development-related roles.
· Prior experience with fundraising events, stewardship, donor relations, or nonprofit administration preferred.
· Practicing Catholic in good standing preferred, with familiarity with parish life and mission.
