Principal Duties and Responsibilities

General Description
• Oversee Safe Environment Program for both the parish and the school

Essential Job Functions
• Timely communications on lists of new staff and volunteers who are certified (ie coaches, room parents, catechists, and new staff)
• Maintain spreadsheet of all safe environment trained staff and volunteers for both the parish and the school
• Check safe environment status of all staff and volunteers, including deacons and priests, annually; inform those who are at risk of lapsing and ensure completion of updated certification
• Coordinate all safe environment classes at St. Patrick’s; including scheduling on FMX, advertising dates/times/locations, clear set up and tech needs communicated with Facility Managers, scheduling facilitators, preparing AV for facilitators
• Support all safe environment instructors
• Ability to collaborate with Parish, School and Family Faith Formation Administrators
• Understands the need for confidentiality • Sense of urgency when timely communication of Safe Environment status is necessary
• Coordinate parish and school in annual reports for the Archdiocese, ensuring on-time completion

• Practicing Catholic with deep knowledge of the Catholic faith, liturgy, sacraments, and teachings of the Church
• Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple, competing priorities, highly adaptable
• Commitment to personal spiritual growth
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, effective listener
• Comfortable speaking one-on-one and with groups
• Outstanding organizational skills, attentive to details
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively
• Safe Environment Training certification. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Able to work weekend and evenings
• Required annual Archdiocese Inservice (weekday, day training)

Education and Experience
Safe Environment Training certification. Must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
