Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This position involves teaching Math and Advanced Math to middle school students (grades 6–8). Our students are motivated, future-focused, and eager to learn. A strong background in Algebra, or a willingness to grow in this area, is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Middle Level (5-9) or Secondary (7-12) endorsement in Math preferred
- Knowledge and proficient use of Google Classroom, Sycamore, IXL and other interactive mathematical applications or software.
- Strong, team-oriented individual with the ability to incorporate Catholic Social Teachings with the classroom.
- Ability to implement and modify approved curriculum for diverse learners in Foundations of Algebra, Pre-Algebra & Algebra 1
- Demonstrate a desire to meaningfully integrate technology into the classroom.
- Employ a variety of teaching models to engage different learning styles and ability levels.
- Prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, instructional strategies, and student abilities.
- Encourage an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students and elicits a greater understanding of the world around them.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid NE teaching certificate in appropriate endorsement areas, or ability to become certified
