Principal Duties and Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARYThe Student Account Manager reports directly to the Director of Finance and Operations and is part of the Finance Team. The role is responsible for managing and assisting in the data input of the school processes, will work closely with the FACTS Administrator, provide confidential clerical and administrative support to the Consortium Executive Director and other Consortium Central Office staff.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Works with the FACTS Administrator to improve documentation and reporting of student account charges and payments
• Identifies and analyzes trends in enrollment, payments and scholarships
• Creates and documents streamlined processes for the management of student accounts
• Oversees the acceptance and logging of in-person payments at the Consortium Central Office.
• Works closely with the FACTS Administrator to process new student aid applications, verifying eligibility and documentation
• Oversees the maintenance of accurate student payment records and databases
• Works with funding agencies to ensure proper scholarship and grant funding is applied to student accounts in FACTS
• Oversees communication with families and meets with families and schools to identify and verify financial needs and assist with enrollment
• Oversees and follows up with families with delinquent balances and negotiates payment plans
• Responds promptly to inquiries to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
• Demonstrated track record of customer service, working with diverse population
• Superior oral and written communication and motivational skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• A positive self-starter who is people-oriented, results-oriented and multi-tasker
• Excellent organization and priority-setting abilities, as well as an aptitude for detail required
• Sensitive to the unique personal and educational needs of immigrant and at-risk persons
• Ability to work with and manage database in FACTS
Education and Experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Minimum three years’ experience in education administration or student financial services
• Experience in a faith-based organization and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education
• Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping practices
PREFERRED SKILLS
• Bilingual in Spanish
