Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:Infrastructure & Systems Management:
• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripherals.
• Oversee and maintain network infrastructure, including wired and wireless connectivity.
• Administer Microsoft 365, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and user provisioning.
User Support, Education & Help Desk Services:
• Provide tier 1–3 technical support for parish staff.
• Deliver training and guidance for both productivity and educational software use.
• Communicate IT policies and support procedures clearly and compassionately.
• Strong understanding of generative AI technologies with the ability to educate and guide staff in their responsible use; develop and implement organizational policies and procedures related to AI tools and applications.
Database & Software Management:
• Support core databases for parishioner management and other administrative functions.
• Install, update, and maintain business applications.
• Ensure integrity and accuracy of data; manage backups and recovery plans.
Asset & Security Management:
• Track inventory of all technology assets and software licenses.
• Enforce cybersecurity best practices and maintain endpoint protection and compliance.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and incident response plans.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration:
• Evaluate emerging technologies to support mission-centered education and parish operations.
• Collaborate with parish and school leadership to align IT services with ministry and academic goals.
• Manage relationships with IT vendors, service providers, and consultants.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, or Google certifications.
• 3+ years of experience in IT support or administration, preferably in an education or nonprofit setting.
• Proficient in both Microsoft 365/Azure and Google Workspace environments.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Understanding of and commitment to the mission of the Catholic Church.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
