Reports to: Principal

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Assists the teacher in activities and lessons during the school day 9:00 am-3:15 pm
Supervises students during center time, recess, and lunch.
Fosters a positive and nurturing environment.
Supports students with basic needs and assists in behavior management by reinforcing classroom rules and expectations.

This position includes supervising students in the Pre-Kindergarten after-school enrichment program. This program runs from 3:20-5:30 each day after the school day.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Patience, enthusiasm, and a caring nature.
Ability to follow directions and work collaboratively with the lead teacher.
Basic understanding of child development and classroom management

Education and Experience
Experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting preferred.
High school diploma or GED.
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Archdiocese of Omaha Safe Environment Certification is required.
