Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Creighton Prep is currently accepting applications for a full-time faculty position as an Instructional Technologist beginning August 1, 2025. The Instructional Technologist serves as the visionary educational leader of technology as a transformational tool for students and faculty. This individual provides instructional support, professional development, and collaborates closely with faculty to enhance students’ educational and curricular experiences. In addition, this person plays a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic plans for technology integration, ensuring that technology positively impacts instruction and learning.Working Conditions:
Eleven month position with one month of non-contractual time scheduled in June and July coordinated around job duties.
Occasional evenings, weekends or non-school days may be required for special events or training sessions.
Teach one academic course each semester.

Leadership and Vision:
Serve as a visionary leader in utilizing technology to transform educational practices.
Develop and implement strategic plans for technology integration that align with the school's mission and goals.
Collaborate with school leadership to set long-term objectives for technology use in education.
Stay current with emerging technologies and educational trends to continually improve instructional practices.
Advocate for innovative teaching methodologies that incorporate emerging technologies.
Facilitate effective communication between teachers, administrators, and technical staff regarding technology needs and initiatives.
Instructional Support:
Facilitate effective communication between teachers, administrators, and technical staff regarding technology needs and initiatives.
Collaborate with teachers to design and implement curriculum and lesson plans that effectively integrate technology across various subject areas and grade levels.
Model instructional strategies that leverage technology to enhance student learning.
Develop and provide instructional resources that support best practices in technology integration.
Serve as an instructional coach (see complete job description for that role) in partnering with teachers to move them through coaching cycles that involve getting a clear picture of reality, setting goals, identifying, explaining, and modeling strategies, and partnering with teachers to make adaptations until goals are met.
Professional Development:
Plan and conduct professional development sessions for faculty and staff on educational technology tools and pedagogical best practices.
Offer one-on-one coaching and support to teachers integrating technology into their classrooms.
Promote digital literacy and responsible digital citizenship among students and staff.
Strategic Analysis and Planning:
Lead the development of a comprehensive technology plan.
Education and Experience
Qualifications:
Education and Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification.
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational setting with demonstrated competency in instructional technology.
Experience in strategic planning and implementing technology initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to model effective instructional strategies that integrate technology.
Experience in designing and delivering professional development for educators.
Skills and Abilities:
Strong knowledge of current educational technologies, digital tools, and learning management systems.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, administrators, and technical staff.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Proficiency in troubleshooting basic hardware and software issues.
Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage budgets related to technology.
