Reports to: Chief Development Officer and Senior Director Events and Special Projects


Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities
• Create new and unique strategies to effectively market the CUES brand.
• Develop annual communications and marketing plan in conjunction with the Chief Development Officer to increase brand awareness and drive enrollment and fundraising growth.
o Obtain consensus on annual marketing/ development activities with the CUES Fund Marketing & Development Committees
o Act as staff liaison with CUES Fund Marketing Committee
o Analyze cost/benefit of annual plan.
• Help ensure all external communications and marketing materials present a consistent brand image.
• Assist in developing social media calendar and execute content
• Work with school recruitment staff to develop recruitment materials which present a consistent brand image and drive enrollment growth in all three schools.
• Work to place “earned media” stories in local television, print and other traditional media to increase brand awareness and improve brand image.
• Work with the Special Events Director to develop marketing materials which promote fundraising events.
• Assist with CUES events.
• Manage the website cuesschools.org and update content on a continuous basis. Monitor and coordinate content on the individual CUES school’s website through the schools (Sacred Heart, All Saints, and Holy Name).
• Publish newsletters and other print/digital communications vehicles to communicate with and recognize donors, and increase overall awareness of the CUES Schools.

• Develop and place paid advertising, as necessary, to attain organizational goals.
• Work with the Chief Development Officer to analyze donor base and target communications accordingly.
• Work with Chief Development Officer and CEO/Executive Director on the CUES Fund Annual Report.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Marketing or Communications strongly preferred. May consider alternate 4-year degree
• Proficient with web, digital publishing, and social media platforms
• Strong, demonstrated written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Photography and video skills preferred but not required

Education and Experience
Experience
• Work experience in the non-profit sector preferred, but not required
• Experience creating and executing marketing plan and materials
• Writing samples and portfolio of creative work
