Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School is accepting applications for a Middle School ELA teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year. The English Language Arts teacher:
- fosters language development, literacy skills, and a love for literature while integrating Catholic teachings and values into the curriculum.
-implements a comprehensive ELA curriculum aligned with grade-level standards.
-creates diverse and culturally responsive lessons that promote critical thinking, communication skills, and a love for reading and writing.
-provides engaging instruction that caters to various learning styles and abilities.
-effectively manages classroom activities, transitions, and behavior while fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.
-develops and administers formative and summative assessments to measure student understanding.
-maintains a cooperative working relationship with all stakeholders.
-demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality.
-performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
-Bachelor's degree in education with a proper endorsement in ELA.
-Valid Nebraska teaching certificate with a proper ELA endorsement.
-Completion of Safe Environment Training and background check.
-Previous experience teaching ELA preferred.
