Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Pius X/ St. Leo School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic 7th/8th grade science teacher for the remainder of the 2024/25 school year with the potential to teach in the 2025/26 school year. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive science lessons to students in grades 7th and 8th, fostering a love for learning, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry. The teacher will create a positive classroom environment, encourage student participation, and support academic growth while aligning with Archdiocese curriculum standards.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*Develop and deliver engaging, hands-on science lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
*Plan and implement lessons aligned with Archdiocese standards
*Implement classroom management strategies that promote the school’s culture
*Encourage students to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Education and Experience
* Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or in the process of becoming certified) or Sub Certificate
* Safe Environment Trained
* Expertise in curriculum, instruction, and assessment in content area
* Experience working with Middle or High School students preferred
