Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Ensure that all Library/Media standards are being met for each grade level.
Responsible for library/media instruction and supervision for students in PK-6.
Create lesson plans that align with Archdiocesan Standards and the American Association of School Librarians framework for learners.
Manage and organize library resources (books, magazines, IT equipment, etc).
Assist students and collaborate with teachers on classroom project research (as needed).

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be comfortable with technology and troubleshooting
Understand how to align lesson plans across grade levels with standards for mastery
Love to work with children
Be a team player and bring a positive attitude
Understand the workings of a library
Works collaboratively with teachers by providing expert advice on improving and enhancing lessons based on ongoing analysis.
Uses technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Education (preferred)
Safe Environment training
