Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Works closely with the Director of Advancement to implement a strategic approach to Development ensuring
Development goals are reached.

• Works with Director of Advancement to develop and maintain a 3-5 year plan that is updated annually with goals and
strategies for all Development activities.

• Plays a key role in implementing all aspects of Development activities for the Consortium, to include annual giving,
planned giving, campaigns, corporate sponsorships, in-kind resources, foundation grant opportunities and major gifts.

• Meets with supporters and prospective supporters to create and foster relationships and invite support of the Consortium.
Maintains an active pool of prospects in this category.

• Recruits, oversees and inspires volunteers to lead and assist with various Development activities.

• Creates and implements a donor relations program that ensures donors are appropriately thanked and shown the impact
of their support. This can be through print and email communication or meetings and events.

• Works with the OCSC Communications Coordinator to create and ensure implementation of a high caliber communication
efforts to support Development efforts.

• Works closely with the Board of Directors through the Advancement Committee to engage them in Development activities.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Demonstrated track record of implementing Development programs and raising funds.

• Superior oral and written communication and motivational skills.

• Capable of overseeing multiple programs simultaneously, and to prioritize prospects and activity.

• A positive self-starter who is people-orientated and results-orientated.

• Sensitive to the unique personal and educational needs of immigrant and at-risk persons.

• Ability to work with and maximize a donor database such as Raiser’s Edge

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum three years’ experience in Development
• Experience in a faith-based organization and a commitment to the mission of Catholic education
