Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Develop and implement a communication strategy that focuses on the parish vision
Design dynamic multimedia content and update parish website and social media channels
Capture and celebrate parish life, telling our story through various communication channels and media, including appropriate parish and school events and achievements
Collaborate with parish ministries to address marketing needs for events/programs as dictated by the parish calendar
Maintain Flocknote database
Coordinate recruitment and training of volunteers for live streaming and in other ways to capture and celebrate parish life
Promote consistent branding/logo for all parish communication, office materials and signage
Evaluate and determine when outside expertise is required and engage vendors as needed
Work with parish business manager on budget and material needs


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent writing, editing and communication skills with the ability to produce materials quickly and in a variety of styles
Working experience with major social media platforms
Working experience with designing and updating websites
Working experience with photography, videography and live streaming
Ability to recruit, lead and work with a wide variety of volunteers
Self-motivated, artistic, creative and innovative; able to work under minimal supervision
Organize and manage multiple communication projects by planning, delegating and executing tasks to meet deadlines
Familiarity with audio/video editing tools
Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Facebook and YouTube
Preferred familiarity with Canva, Flocknote, ReStream, Jotform, PayPal, Calendy, Signup Genius, OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) Studio, Joomia
Ability to learn software and hardware systems as needed
Ability to work flexible hours (occasional evenings and weekends) in accordance with the demands of parish activities

Education and Experience
Professional experience in Communications, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field
Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree in any of these disciplines is preferred
