Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Wenceslaus Catholic Elementary School, located in West Omaha, is accepting applications for a full-time resource teacher to work with students in prekindergarten to 8th grade for the 2024-25 school year. The teacher will coordinate and execute evidence-based learning strategies and interventions to support all students with individualized learning plans along with accommodations plans. The resource teacher will support the efforts of the classroom teacher and will provide coaching and assistance to all teachers and staff.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Have an in-depth knowledge of developing, coordinating, and delivering inclusive individualized instructional and educational services to students with learning needs.
Ability to establish and maintain a positive rapport with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
Ability to analyze student needs and problem-solve using available resources.
The teacher will assess student proficiency and adjust teaching to address each student's need to be successful.

Education and Experience
A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Provisional Nebraska Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement.
Bachelor's Degree in Education from an accredited college or university. Minimum of three years of teaching experience is preferred.
Applicant must complete a background check and the Archdiocese of Omaha required Safe Environment training.
