Principal Duties and Responsibilities
The role of the 5-8 STEM teacher is a .50-.75 FTE role. This will be determined by the experience of the candidate.The STEM teacher will plan, teach, and assess student performance in STEM classes for students in 5th-8th grade. The STEM teacher will be responsible for Integrated STEM curriculum and programming that meets the Archdiocese of Omaha as well as helping with other technology needs within the school. The STEM teacher provides instruction as a specialist and works with teachers to support best instructional practices using data, analysis of school-wide trends in instruction and to make recommendations about potential next steps to address areas of need.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesA technology background in tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite, iPads, 3D printing, robots, coding and circuity are preferred.
Education and Experience
Certified teacher with an endorsement in instructional technology or related field.
