Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Columbkille Catholic School in Papillion, NE is looking for teachers’ aides to join our team beginning in August of 2024. We have openings in primary and intermediate classrooms. Qualified applicants should be collaborative, positive, and ready to help students grow in faith and academics.

Teachers' aides work under the direction of the classroom teacher to provide a safe learning environment for students. Responsibilities may include:
-monitoring/supervising students.
-working with students individually or in small groups.
-recess and lunchroom supervision.
-helping with organization, preparation for activities, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Understands social and emotional norms for children of varying ages.
-Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and administration
-Has a positive attitude and strengths-based approach to problem solving
-Enjoys sharing faith and building community with children

Education and Experience
Prior experience in a preschool or school environment is desired but not required.
Safe Environment Training with a background check is required.
