Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate and implement adult faith formation events, programs and activities including but not limited to Bible Study, Becoming Catholic (O.C.I.A.), baptism preparation and marriage enrichment.Coordinate, promote and form the leaders for Discipleship Quads.
Coordinate, promote, and form leaders for Called and Gifted charism discernment.
Support and encourage volunteers who run Nazareth small groups, young adult ministry and other faith formation/enrichment programs for men, women and married couples.
Collaborate weekly with the Evangelization & Discipleship team. This includes working with the other members of the Evangelization Team in developing, promoting and executing plans for evangelization and discipleship formation.
Provide parishioners with current digital resources for personal formation.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesBe an intentional disciple committed to regular personal prayer and discernment and encouraging and accompanying others in this area.
Have a strong understanding of theology and teachings of the Catholic Church, especially regarding evangelization, discipleship formation and sacramental preparation for adults.
Knowledge of the movements and organizations that support parishes to be on mission (i.e. Divine Renovation, Amazing Parish).
Must have flexibility in work hours with some availability to parishioners on evenings and weekends as needed.
Ability to train others.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including social media platforms.
Proven leadership, organized, self-motivated and management skills.
Ability to perform administrative functions to accomplish the completion of projects and ministerial events.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related field or personal formation as a Catholic disciple.
2+ years of ministry experience, preferably in Evangelization & Discipleship is preferred.
