Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Work Schedule:June 23-July 27th (Week of 4th Off)
• Sunday: 2:45pm-6:00pm
• Monday-Friday: 7:00 am-4:30pm
• Occasional work on Saturdays or additional time during the week
Compensation:
• $3,000 for 4-weeks of camp ($750 per week)
Qualifications:
• Able to teach and lead various recreational activities
• Requires normal physical capabilities, including lifting or carrying light loads, reaching and standing, walking, sitting for extended periods of time
• Requires being physically fit in order to participate a wide variety of activities
• Requires stamina to work long periods in a physically active environment
• Requires dexterity with hands, speech, corrected hearing and vision within normal range
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesResponsibilities:
• Responsible for ensuring the health, safety, and recreational fun all campers oversee daily camp activities, based on assigned group
• Relate to and work with all-male campers, parents, guests, professional staff, leaders
• Responsible for the safety and well-being of a group 10-20 campers
• Communicate with parents about participant’s experiences and report concerns to Camp Leadership
• Assist in maintaining accurate program records including incident reports and daily attendance
• Know and understand ALL emergency procedures associated with the camp program
• Oversee and participate in activities keep group on schedule
• Learn likes and dislikes of campers
• Carry out established camp procedures and rules
• Attend camp orientation and daily staff meetings
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of Mount Michael, especially the Armory, gym, and dining hall
• Recognize and respond to opportunities for group problem solving
• Provide opportunities for the group to ensure individuals experience success while at camp
• Set a good example for campers in all areas, including cleanliness, punctuality, rules and sportsmanship
• Guide campers in successful participation all aspects of camp activities
• Implement and enforce health safety rules, regulations procedures
• Other responsibilities as assigned by Camp Director and/or Mount Michael Administration
• Handle multiple tasks
• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; involve inform direct supervisor
• Speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen get clarification; respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; participate meetings

Education and Experience
Qualifications:
