Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Works with parish staff, Pastor and volunteers to lead the stewardship and development activities to support the mission of St. Robert Bellarmine Parish.• Assist with maintenance and support of the parish database, and software / programs that support stewardship and development efforts for the parish.
• Lead and manage donor cultivation, inviting support from individual donors, businesses, foundations, and other Parish constituencies, and overseeing the processing of those gifts.
• Serve as a key face and voice for St. Robert Bellarmine Parish, communicating the parish mission and vision.
• Implement and execute the annual stewardship renewal.
• Guide volunteers to implement signature parish fundraising and social events.
• Promotes Archdiocese Annual Appeal.
• Supports special appeals as needed.
• Market all giving channels that include planned giving opportunities, major gifts, recurring gifts and special event support.
• Works with parishioners as needed regarding matching gifts, planned giving, memorial opportunities, and endowments.
• Helps process and acknowledge contributions, pledges, offertory gifts, and other parishioner donations.
• Works with the Parish business office to communicate pledge and contribution information to parishioners.
• Develops and promotes programs and activities to recognize and thank donors.
• Plan and execute the annual “Joy of Giving” campaign.
• Work with support Parish Council, Foundation Board and Finance Committee as needed.
• Supervises the Graphic & Design and Marketing Specialist and Events Planning & Support Assistant.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and communication skills.
• Ability to build and foster relationships with donors and volunteers.
• Experience recruiting, managing, motivating and recognizing volunteers.
• An understanding of the USCCB’s Pastoral Letter: Stewardship, A Disciples Response, with a willingness to promote for our parishioners stewardship as a way of life.
• Ability to organize time, set priorities and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to foster a culture of customer service and Christ-like behavior with emphasis on faith, hope, and charity.
• A self-starter with a strong sense of teamwork, collaboration, and the ability to work with diverse audiences and individuals.
• Discipline and accuracy to maintain donor records to enable effective communication with parishioners.
• Knowledge of basic office equipment and Microsoft Office products.
• Good Catholic in standing with values aligned with mission of St. Robert Bellarmine Church.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of three years’ experience as a professional in development or related field.
