TOTUS TUUS (Totally Yours) is a parish-based summer catechetical program, for both grade school age children and junior/ senior high school youth. Totus Tuus Missionaries are trained and put onto teams of four, traveling to parishes across the Archdiocese, putting on week-long “parish missions” to teach and inspire the young.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Communicate the Gospel and promote the Archdiocesan Vision and Priorities to youth.
• Witness the Christian life to children and youth through catechesis and personal example.
• Committed to a well-defined daily schedule of prayer and activities, including set-up and clean-up before and after daily sessions, leading daily prayers for youth, preparing for Liturgies, catechetical instruction, and organizing daily community building activities.
• Actively participate in Missionary Training.
• Actively collaborate with Junior Missionaries within parishes.
• Travel to parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Omaha to lead week-long Totus Tuus sessions, staying with host families at each parish site.
• Participate in Totus Tuus Missionary gatherings.
• Actively promote a safe environment for children and youth, in accordance with Archdiocese of Omaha Safe Environment policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Work well within a team dynamic.
• Communicate well with leaders in parishes and families at host sites.
• Adequate knowledge of the Catholic faith and ability to communicate it to others.
• A desire to work with youth and children grades 1-12.
• Ability to make sacrifices with your time and be flexible with housing situations, both in Omaha and the rural area, over the six weeks you will be leading Totus Tuus.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Active, practicing Catholic in full communion with the Catholic Church, with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bilingual skills in Spanish and English preferred.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• 100% travel throughout the Archdiocese to lead the Totus Tuus summer catechetical program.
