Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Mercy High School seeks a creative, results-oriented professional to serve as its Director of Admissions. The position is responsible for the implementation and execution of strategies to increase and manage student enrollment while providing a positive experience for prospective students and their families. This full-time position reports directly to the President.• Promotes the mission, vision, and identity of Mercy
• Coordinates & participates in all aspects of admissions included but not limited to special events, visits, evaluation,
and selection for recruiting purposes
• Develop & implement strategic recruitment plan to reach targeted audiences
• Promote school visibility; engage in effective community outreach
• Provide information and support to families navigating the application and enrollment process
• Manages new student enrollment; track, review and follow-up on potential and committed student applicants
• Promote enrollment with in-person tours, middle school visits, shadows, and social media
• Develop community relationships with area middle schools, churches, and other entities or individuals who can play a
role in recruiting and name exposure for Mercy
• Implement strategies to increase and manage student enrollment; maintain statistics on aspects of admission
• Familiarization of academic curriculum, and admissions standards to communicate to families
• Organize and coordinate annual Open House for prospective students and parents
• Manage student ambassador students for recruitment and admission events
• Work closely with Graphic Designer to develop marketing materials, both print and electronic, for enrollment
promotion
• Engage current parents and students to assist in retention and recruitment goals
• Conduct marketing research by identifying emerging and new markets for prospective recruiting
• Monitor and report on attrition, retention, and demographic trends; present information to administrators and board
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Proven leadership including ability to motivate and lead through change to reach common goals
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, develop and implement innovative creative ideas & effective strategies
• Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
• High energy, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively
• Ability to prioritize & effective time management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook. FACTS & Google Docs.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Education Administration or similar field preferred
• Experience with recruitment & admissions preferred
