Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Provide support to President of the Foundation and other Foundation personnel. Perform complex, diverse, and confidential duties. Organize, maintain, and develop relationships with volunteers and donors. Perform duties professionally with limited direction. Recruit and oversee the work of volunteers. Serve as a resource in the resolution of complex problems or issues. Assignments are broad in nature and require critical thinking, originality, ingenuity, organization, and collaboration skills.• Coordinate all IPF Foundation and other IPF Events with the President of the Foundation, other members of the Foundation staff, Event Chairs, and volunteers.
• Coordinate major fundraisers, banquets and events, award ceremonies, Foundation related conferences, luncheons, committee meetings, donor dinners, Mornings of Reflection, national events, celebrations of anniversaries, and other milestone events.
• Arrange and develop relationships with caterers, florists, decorators, printing companies, and venue personnel for IPF events.
• Arrange for news articles and multi-media 0pportunities, advertisements for church bulletins, radio spots. and marketing materials.
• Maintain and archive historical material.
• Prepare donation thank you and tax letters for John Paul II funds to donors in a timely basis in collaboration with The Executive Assistant to the President.
• Assist with preparation of IPF Magazines, proofread documents, data entry and data clean-up.
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities• Demonstrates good people, verbal, and written skills are required.
• Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and prioritize requests.
• Ability to maintain high quality of confidentiality.
• Ability to adapt and respond to various situations.
• Experience with various Microsoft Office applications: such as Word, Excel, Power Point, and Donor Data Bases is required.
• Familiarity with the mission and charism of IPF is desired.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent. Some college and/or associate degree preferred.
• 3+ years in administrative support required, experience in Development is desired.
• Works well with volunteers and donors.
