Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The PreK/Kindergarten teacher will be responsible for planning, teaching, and facilitating learning for students in an early childhood classroom while focusing on the Catholic faith. The teacher will create a positive learning environment that provides interventions and accommodations that support all students. The teacher will also maintain academic progress and records for students while also working collaboratively with students, parents, and staff members.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The teacher will work daily in a Catholic environment that provides rigorous instruction to meet the needs of all learners. This individual must maintain high classroom expectations in all areas and develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned with the Archdiocesan curriculum. This professional must be able to use a variety of assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of the students while setting and reinforcing clear expectations and routines that align with the school's mission and goals. Effective communication skills are essential when working with staff, parents, and administration.

Education and Experience
A valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate is required.

Our kindergarten program is all-day, every day and the PreK students attend on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. A paraprofessional educator also helps for a portion of the day.
