Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Mary Our Queen School is accepting applications for a primary grade teacher ( Kindergarten and Second Grade) for the 2023-2024 school year. The teacher plans, guides, and evaluates the learning process of all students within the framework of the standards and curriculum established by the Archdiocese of Omaha and the State of Nebraska. The teacher understands the need for and has the ability to teach foundational skills that enable students to develop strong academic skills. He/She is able to provide interventions and accommodations to support the students’ participation and progress. The teacher will also maintain academic progress and records for students while also working collaboratively with students, parents and building staff.Requirements

-Set and hold students to extremely high academic and behavioral standards
-Embody and demonstrate a loving, Christ-like character and ensure that students exhibit the same values
-Set measurable, ambitious, and attainable goals for the year and each interim assessment cycle
-Develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the curricular goals of MOQ and Omaha Archdiocese standards
-Use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of students
-Employ a variety of creative, differentiated, and research-based instructional strategies that ensure students are actively engaged in meaningful and rigorous learning experience
-Provide grade appropriate extended or enrichment opportunities
-Effectively integrate technology use into instruction
Education and Experience
-Valid NE Teacher Certificate
-Bachelor's of Science Degree - Elementary Education
-Safe Environment Trained
