Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Bernadette Catholic School is seeking qualified applicants for a Middle School ELA teacher.
The teacher will work daily in a Catholic faith-filled teaching environment to form and develop students.
The teacher must set high classroom expectations in all areas.
Develop and implement daily 7th-Grade and 8th-grade lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned with the Archdiocese ELA Curriculum
Use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of students
Set and reinforce clear expectations and routines that align with school-wide values and policies.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Teach ELA in a diverse and growing Catholic school.
Be prepared to share your knowledge and experience with students and staff.
Come willing to grow and know that you will be supported along the way.

Education and Experience
Nebraska Teaching Certificate.
ELA Endorsement (preferred)
Middle School teaching experience (preferred)

Archdiocesan Safe Environment Training and a Background Check are needed before the start date.
(The Principal can provide this training prior to the start date.)
