POSITION TITLE: IT Intern

CLASSIFICATION: Temporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt

HOURS PER WEEK: 40


POSITION SUMMARY
The primary duties of this position are to complete one or more of the below listed projects:
• Telephony migration to Cloud
• Windows child domain collapse/elimination
• Update Windows group policies
• Establish Azure based hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Implementation of PAM solution

The intern will provide response and resolution to user concerns through a combination of customer service and technical skills both remotely and onsite. The intern will maintain open communication with the ticket contact throughout the lifecycle of the ticket.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Determine hardware compatibility
o Laptops
o Computers
• Determine driver support
o Printers
o Copiers
o Scanners
o Peripherals
• Verify software support
• Perform pre-requisite updates
o Bios
o Firmware
o Hard Drives
• Create/update documentation
o Deployment
o Configuration
• Implement and deploy solutions
• Validate deployment
• End user education
o Schedule lunch-n-learns
o Create and present changes and new feature functionality
• Schedule and coordinate upgrades
• Verify end user has full functionality

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Outlook.
• Knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating systems.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Background in and/or knowledge of the Catholic Church with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church.
• Current college student, graduate student, or recent college graduate in Computer Science or a related field.
• 1+ years of combined relevant experience and education in the IT field preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Routine office environment; ADA-accessible building.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
• Periodic travel to Omaha metro Archdiocesan locations required.
