Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The LA Teacher is responsible for creating a classroom environment that develops skills of
listening, speaking, reading, and writing that are fundamental to effective communication. The LA teacher develops an appreciation of good literature of all types and motivates students to read for a variety of purposes. The LA teacher also develops written and oral communication skills and discovers and develops special talents of students in the area of Language Arts.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The LA teacher will model a Christ-centered and Catholic presence.

Education and Experience
Nebraska certification in the area of Language Arts for 7th and 8th-grade levels.

A masters in the area of Language Arts or Elementary Education and/or experience teaching at the middle school level is preferred but not required.
