POSITION SUMMARY
The Data Entry Specialist is primarily responsible for the organization and oversight of the data entry, quality control, and reporting processes for various databases of the archdiocese concerned with parishioners, donors, and information collected in relation to the Archdiocesan Annual Appeal, Archbishop’s Dinner for Education, Archdiocesan Seminary Collection and other special collections or donations. Responsible for the management of parish data and other database operations as assigned. Provides guidance and training for other Data Support Office employees.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform data entry and appropriate reporting from The Raiser's Edge database system to aid in the efficiency of day-to-day operations.
• Provide oversight of data entry performed by other employees.
• Collect and record donations received via mail.
• Monitor data quality and make necessary changes to processes to ensure high quality data.
• Respond to inquiries and requests from individual donors and archdiocesan organizations.
• Coordinate with other offices to develop and distribute reports, reconcile summaries, and resolve exceptions.
• Receive, record and secure cash donations.
• Manage the various gift acknowledgment processes.
• Perform data entry into various databases and provide maintenance as required.
• Produce reports, lists, and data files as assigned.
• Train and provide ongoing support to other employees.
• Develop and document current, revised, and new procedures.
• Manage inventory of stationery items required for gift processing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records.
• Knowledge of customer service best practices to include meeting quality standards for services and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Well organized and detail oriented.
• Understands and strictly adheres to confidentiality and consistently exercises discretion and good business judgment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Background in and/or knowledge of the Catholic Church with a demonstrated commitment to the mission and teachings of the Church required.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years’ experience using Raiser’s Edge or other development office applications required.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite to include:
o Creating mail merges and templates in Word
o Summarize data and draft reports in Excel
• Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar system preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
• Routine office environment; ADA-accessible building.
