Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesSt, Margaret Mary seeks a dynamic and people oriented school secretary for our 500 student school. This position is the main point of contact for school families, students and visitors to the school and works closely with the parish office. Flexibility and adaptation to change are necessary functions of the job. Some key responsibilities will include:
• Greet, assist and direct guests, workers, visitors and the general public.
• Maintain student cumulative records and assist with general school nursing or medical needs.
• Provide administrative services to the principal and assistant principal.
• Maintain and update school records on Facts--our digital SIS (Student Information System).
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Applicant should have word processing and computer skills necessary to navigate a student information system. Familiarity with Facts, Microsoft and/or Google Suite products is helpful. Ablility to be flexible, adaptive and manage frequent interruptions is a must. Desire to work in a positive child centered positive environment, supported by a giving and welcoming school and church community.
Education and Experience
Minimum of high school education is required, some college experience preferred. Customer service experience and work with the general public will be key to success for this position. Experience with office work, detail oriented, and organizational tasks desired.
