Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Mary Our Queen, a PreK-8, Cognia accredited Catholic School, seeks a qualified elementary teacher for the 2022-23 school year. MOQ is a faith-filled and dynamic school, dedicated to forming students of faith and academic excellence. The teacher must set high classroom expectations in all areas, develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum/Nebraska state standards and in collaboration with other grade levels and specialty teachers.The teacher must be able to use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of students while setting and reinforcing clear expectations and routines that align to school-wide values and policies. The teacher must be willing to work cooperatively and collaboratively with a grade level team, build a strong rapport with all stakeholders and effectively contribute to our school community in a positive and professional manner.

-Serve and support the mission of Mary Our Queen School to form students of faith who pursue academic excellence and live in Christian service.
-Plan and implement effective teaching with research-based pedagogy
-Integrate the Catholic faith into all subjects and school environment
-Creates a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where all students feel safe, welcome and valued
-Effectively collaborate with grade level team
-Communicate with parents and school staff on student progress
-Assess student learning and adapts instruction based on student data and needs
-Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve instructional effectiveness
-Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of best instructional practices

Education and Experience
-Nebraska valid teaching license and be certified in Elementary Education
-Early Childhood Endorsement preferred but not required
-Practicing Catholic
-Safe Environment Trained before August 2022
