Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Rose of Lima Catholic School in Crofton is currently accepting applications for an elementary teaching position for the 2023-24 school year. The position will require that the teacher plans for, teaches and facilitates learning for students and creates a positive learning environment. The teacher will provide interventions and accommodations to support the students’ participation and progress in the general curriculum. Teacher will also maintain academic progress and records for students while also working collaboratively with students, parents, and building staff.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Teacher will work daily in a Catholic, faith-filled environment to form and develop students. Teacher must set high classroom expectations in all areas, develop and implement daily lesson plans aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum. Teacher must be able to use a variety of rigorous formative and summative assessments to evaluate individual academic progress and adjust instructional plans to meet the needs of students while setting and reinforcing clear expectations and routines that align to school-wide mission and goals. Teacher must display great communication skills with staff, parents, and administration.

Education and Experience
Must have or be able to obtain a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or Provisional Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited college or university. Applicants must also complete a background check and the Archdiocese of Omaha required Safe Environment training. Start Date is August 2023.
