Principal Duties and Responsibilities
As Director of Finance and Administration at the Institute for Priestly Formation (IPF), this position is responsible for overseeing the overall financial strategy as this is crucial for the growth and success of the Institute. The Director reports to the Executive Director with dotted line reporting to the President of the IPF Foundation.1. Provide finance and accounting leadership and strategy. Analyze financial performance, establish annual budget and monitor performance to budget. Work with IPF finance committee, IPF Corporate Board and IPF Foundation Board.
2. Supervise accounting personnel. Conduct annual review of direct reports and provide annual compensation recommendations to Executive Director.
3. Manage and oversee cash flow, disbursement of funds, bank and accounting system/software transactions. Includes accounts payable, journal entries, executing reports, creating budgets, coordinating reconciliation of accounts.
4. Oversee accounting of fundraising campaigns, grants and donations.
6. Manage processes and tracking associated with employee benefit plan administration.
7. Prepare annual disbursement of 1099 documents.
8. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual detailed financial performance reports.
9. File all necessary government reports, licensure applications, etc. with appropriate regulatory authority.
10. Schedule and coordinate annual audit with external accounting firm.
11. Identify, establish and maintain relationships with financial/banking partners.
12. Coordinate, negotiate and manage third party contracts and services.
13. Manage insurance related needs of IPF and IPF Foundation.
14. Oversees facilities management, as needed.

Education and Experience
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
2. 5+ years of experience in financial management, or accounting.
