Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Business Manager at St. Charles Borromeo works with the Pastor to ensure the proper management of the temporal goods of the parish and to maintain due diligence in all financial matters.
This is a part-time position, requiring no more than 20-25 hours per week.
The Business Manager:
advises the Pastor and Finance Council regarding the parish’s finances,
maintains parish financial statements,
maintains all parish corporate records,
assists in preparing the parish budget,
maintains, monitors, and reconciles our multiple parish accounts,
conducts the business of the parish with outside parties,
supervises parish personnel, and
works closely with the parish’s Director of Development.
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Understands basic accounting principles.
Is proficient using accounting/financial software.
Has knowledge of payroll processes and related tax issues.
Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
College education required.
A background in management, human resources, accounting, and/or finance is preferred.
