Principal Duties and Responsibilities

(A). Program Development:
Develop relationships within the parish community to identify, recruit, and train new volunteers
Develop and coordinate scheduling of all Adult Formation events and activities
Plan, coordinate, and implement formational opportunities for parish members
Assists in the preparation of liturgical celebrations for RCIA participants
Stays current on new programs and initiatives designed to help adults grow in their faith

(B). Recruitment and Training of Leaders:
Participate and have knowledge of Archdiocesan training programs for self and others
Defines, advises, supports, and evaluates teams of volunteers for formational programs
Serves as liaison between formational ministries and parish leadership

(C). Administration and Communication
Identifies expense needs in order to create a Mission-oriented budget in collaboration with parish leadership
Maintains accurate and up to date program database
Works with Communications Coordinator on effectively publicizing and promoting ministry programs
Meets regularly with Director of Mission and Mission Team to discuss ministry needs and opportunities for cooperation across ministries
Develops working relationships with other professional lay ministers and participates in networking opportunities within the Archdiocese
Stays informed through attendance at diocesan, regional, and national conferences, and regular reading
Sets annual goals and objectives for adult formation programs as requested

Practicing Catholic with a strong desire to help others take their next step to be more like Jesus
Knowledge of Catholic teachings, catechesis, spirituality, and worship
Advanced organizational skills, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines to see a project to completion
Articulate and energetic communicator: oral and written
Excellent interpersonal & relationship building skills, including the ability to invite, engage, and collaborate with volunteer leaders and the parish at-large
Proficient Computer experience required with a knowledge of MS Office products

Education and Experience
Undergraduate degree in theology, ministry, or equivalent field or equivalent experience desired
Direct ministerial experience required
Must maintain Safe Environment certification through the Archdiocese of Omaha throughout employment
